PQQ - Environmental criteria causing a problem?

Do you miss out on valuable tenders because your company doesn't have relevant environmental knowledge?

If so, the CIEH Level 2 Award in Environmental Principles and Best Practice could be the answer!

Many procurement decisions are made by assessing whether an organisation shows a commitment to environmental performance and improvement. Often, suppliers are asked to demonstrate this by means of a relevant environmental qualification or experience.

This low cost, one day course provides a basic understanding of environmental principles including law, energy efficiency, pollution, environmental impact and is suitable as starting point for anyone with a responsibility for environmental issues within your company.

Contact us now for details of our open courses (priced at just £70 + VAT per delegate) or if you really want to show a 'workforce' commitment then enquire about our in-house training.

Time off for training

New Rights! - Time off for training

Did you know that under the Employee Study and Training (Eligibility, Complaints and Remedies) Regulations 2010 you may have a right to request time off for training?

Dependent upon the size of your company and the amount of continuous weeks worked you may be eligible for unpaid time off for training.  Companies with at least 250 employees must consider the requests from employees who have 26 weeks or more of continuous service should they wish to undertake training that is relevant to their job.  From 2011 this will also apply to all companies regardless of size.

Bear this in mind when you're looking to study your next health and safety qual!
