Well, what a couple of months it's been!  Since moving from our premises in Netherton, Dudley things have gradually picked up and we're now rushed off our feet again.  Our new training venue is located in Halesowen town centre in the West Midlands, just 5 minutes from Junction 3 of the M5.

Now for the biggy!!  We're pleased to announce that we will be offering our highly successful Nebosh National General Certificate for the massively discounted rate of just £699+VAT* during January to March 2012.  This is a one day per week classroom based course delivered over 12 days and we think you'd have to go a long way to find such a great deal.  Many other training providers claim to offer low priced Nebosh training but the fine print points to a part taught / part distance learning set up that is ineffective as a learning option for many students. 


PSS offer fun but informative training sessions in a comfortable learning environment.  Our delivery offers just the right amount of humour mixed with past work scenarios and group participation and input to put our pass rate above the national average.  Our price includes all materials, revision guide, course bag, lunch and refreshments. 


For those not able to participate in January's bargain course we have two further courses running during 2012, Course 2 during Mar - June and Course 3 during Sept - Dec.  These courses are now also being offered at the subsidised cost of £899+VAT* rather than our usual £950.

Progressive Coffee Morning for Macmillan

Friday saw Progressive Safety Solutions taking part in the 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.  This is the first time we've taken part in this event but will definitely be signing up again next year.

We decided to take part on the 'official' coffee morning date but in hindsight this made it very difficult for a lot of our current and previous clients to support us due to work commitments.  For those of you who missed out we are looking to do things a little differently next year either by way of a Saturday morning or after work event.  We hope you will be able to join us.

Even though we didn't get quite the number of visitors we'd hoped for we managed to raise just over £100 through refreshment and cake sales, handmade cards and a book sale.  For those of you who were unable to visit but would still like to donate please feel free to contact us as donations will be submitted at the end of this week.

Just a quick blog post to let you know that we have 2 popular open courses coming up over the next month:

• IOSH Managing Safely - 4 day course (one day per week) - £449+VAT - 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th May 2011
• CIEH Level 2 Award in Environmental Principles and Best Practice - 1 day - £70+VAT - 6th May 2011

Both of these courses will be running at our training centre in Dudley, West Midlands and we currently have a 100% pass rate on both courses.

IOSH Managing Safely - If you are looking to train yourself or staff in the basic principles of Health & Safety in the workplace, IOSH Managing Safely is the ideal course.  It looks at your responsibilities as an employer, hazard identification, basic risk assessment etc and is a superb introduction to the subject of safety at work.

CIEH Environmental - Our CIEH Environmental course is suitable if you need to make your employees aware of the impact they have upon the environment and is also an ideal course for those who require environmental training to aid their applications when tendering for contracts.

Progressive Safety Solutions is extremely pleased to announce that, of our last group of 7 Nebosh General Certificate delegates 6 obtained credit marks and 1 gained a distinction.  We also had 2 candidates sitting the Nebosh Construction paper both of whom also obtained a credit mark.
